Un incontro per danzatori e per le loro visioni; un luogo di contaminazione tra differenti linguaggi, accomunati dal desiderio di condivisione e da un’intrinseca volontà di educare all’ascolto, al pensiero e allo scambio. Come in un vero e proprio CYPHER i danzatori contemporanei, urban dancers e breakers si sfideranno singolarmente e in coppia portando in campo se stessi. L’IO CON L’ALTRO saranno al centro, senza limiti né confini, senza pregiudizi né barriere. Lo spazio diventa luogo e l’architettura diventa casa. Il Brancaccino OpenAir - Chapiteau dei giardini Brancaccio sarà la cornice perfetta per liberare le loro sperimentazioni.
Accordo Cruisin’ - Futuro Festival - Teatro Brancaccio
Il mondo della musica e della danza si arricchisce di un importante accordo di collaborazione tra Cruisin' Arts, Futuro Festival e il Teatro Brancaccio di Roma. L'azienda (presente da 40 anni nel mondo degli eventi musicali e di danza), Futuro Festival e il prestigioso teatro romano si uniscono per dare spazio agli artisti emergenti della scena urban dance.
Il Teatro Brancaccio, situato nel cuore della città di Roma, rappresenta una delle realtà teatrali più importanti d'Italia, con un palcoscenico che ha visto esibirsi alcuni dei più grandi nomi della scena musicale e teatrale.
La collaborazione con Cruisin' Arts rappresenta quindi un'occasione unica per offrire al pubblico ancora più occasioni di apprezzare il talento degli artisti e la bellezza delle
performance.
In programma, non solo l’Experimental Battle 1 vs 1 di sperimentazioni, ma anche le performances di artisti e compagnie di danza che hanno ottenuto i più importanti risultati in occasione dell’Mc Hip Hop Contest, evento di riferimento europeo dell’urban dance.
Essere presenti nel cartellone di Futuro Festival rappresenta un ulteriore riconoscimento per gli artisti emergenti della scena urban e un'opportunità unica per far conoscere il loro talento ad un pubblico ancora più vasto.
La collaborazione tra Cruisin’ Arts, Futuro Festival e il Teatro Brancaccio nasce infatti con l'obiettivo di valorizzare le nuove generazioni di artisti e offrire loro una piattaforma di visibilità sempre più ampia ed eclettica.
REGOLAMENTO
All’Experimental Battle sono ammessi danzatori e danzatrici over 16 (16 anni già compiuti alla data del 28 maggio 2023) padroneggianti qualunque stile nell’ambito dell’urban dance o della contemporary dance, che desiderano condividere il proprio linguaggio attraverso l’iter di selezione esplicitato di seguito. La musica sulla quale i danzatori si esibiranno sarà selezionata al momento dal DJ, i ballerini non potranno avere informazioni a riguardo, e si potrà spaziare liberamente tra musica elettronica, strumentale, house, hip hop, low-fi, funk e molto altro.
1.PRESELEZIONI
La prima fase dell’Experimental Battle è un'esperienza di danza libera, freestyle. I partecipanti hanno a disposizione 30 minuti per esibirsi contemporaneamente e portare in scena il proprio stile, ballando sulla musica scelta e suonata al momento dal dj. La giuria, composta da esperti del settore, passerà tra i ballerini per valutare le loro performance e individuare coloro che saranno ammessi alla fase successiva. I partecipanti dovranno cercare di distinguersi mostrando il proprio movimento, la propria capacità interpretativa e l’unicità stilistica.
2.SELEZIONI
I ballerini che superano la fase di preselezione sono ammessi alla seconda fase: la selezione in modalità “showcase”. Ogni danzatore avrà a disposizione 60 secondi di improvvisazione su musica sempre suonata dal dj. La giuria valuterà diversi aspetti quali originalità, tecnica, presenza scenica e musicalità. Dalla fase 2 verranno selezionati i finalisti che saranno ammessi alla fase 3.
3.BATTLE
I finalisti si sfideranno con la modalità battle 1vs1 fino al raggiungimento della coppia finale
e all’elezione del vincitore.

Una giuria esperta di 4 elementi, provenienti da diversi ambiti artistici e professionali e
dall’altissimo spessore tecnico, garantirà la massima inclusione ed attenzione ad ogni stile
portato in scena.

LD COMPANY
LD Company nasce dalla collaborazione tra 3 artisti poliedrici, di estrazione artistica molto diversa tra loro ma accomunati da una immensa, incondizionata passione per la danza: Elisa Cannelli, Daniele Corsa, Michela Marchese. La Compagnia realizza fin dal 2014 spettacoli di danza e musical con coreografie assolutamente originali e inedite, una regia innovativa, trame avvincenti e avvalendosi di volta in volta di collaborazioni artistiche nuove e importanti. La Compagnia organizza ogni anno due importanti eventi di raccolta fondi in favore di AIRC, viene chiamata per eventi e cene di Gala e va in scena nei teatri del Lazio e di molta parte dell’Italia partendo spesso per trasferte nei fine settimana. Il Cast, oltre ai 3 artisti che ne costituiscono il nucleo centrale e che ne curano le coreografie e la messa in scena, comprende molti altri elementi: ballerini professionisti, performer, e gli allievi più talentuosi della scuola Laltradanza che, previa audizione, vengono man mano inseriti nelle produzioni della Compagnia.
SOUTH CLAN
La crew nasce a Trani (BT) ma accoglie ballerini provenienti da diverse realtà delle città pugliesi. Il grande divario di età tra i vari componenti non è mai stato un ostacolo ma motivo di confronto e di crescita; infatti la crew fin da subito porta a casa ottimi risultati in diverse competizioni nazionali ed internazionali. Il concept coreografico fonda le sue radici a teatro infatti, grazie all’utilizzo delle danze urbane (Hip-Hop, Vogueing, Locking), realizzano dei veri e propri show. Negli ultimi anni hanno unito alla loro arte anche le scenografiche dinamiche del Breaking e del Parkour.

FRITZ ZAMY
Ballerino, coreografo, Dj ed insegnante di Hip Hop e House. Presente nei più grandi eventi di danza e punto di riferimento per i ballerini italiani. Insegna in varie scuole ed è coreografo di gruppi di street dancers nel sud Italia. Organizzatore dell'House Dance Europe, uno tra i più importanti eventi di house in Europa. Ospite d’eccezione al Festival di Parigi ed al programma tv Zelig. Da alcuni anni propone le sue classi di House ed Hip Hop New Style con una tecnica originalissima contaminata dalle sue origini Haitiane.
Con il suo background e il suo estro artistico è una delle colonne portanti dell'Mc hip hop contest in qualità di Mc dello Special One del contest più prestigioso d’Italia, giunto alla sua ventisettesima edizione, che si svolge ogni anno a Riccione.

È direttrice artistica di FUTURO FESTIVAL, festival di danza e cultura contemporanea, di WOM DIALOGUES, progetto di formazione e produzione per il ricambio generazionale, del BrancaccioDanza e della rassegna di video danza DANCING CAMERA all’interno del festival ARTSITE FEST di Torino.

Astolfi attualmente uno tra i più prolifici e acclamati coreografi sulla scena internazionale fonda nel 1994 Spellbound Dance Company – oggi Spellbound Contemporary Ballet –. I lavori di Spellbound, attraverso un vasto repertorio sono sempre più richiesti nel mercato straniero, esportati fino ad ora con successo anche in Francia, Serbia, Thailandia, Spagna, Russia, Austria, Bielorussia, Svizzera, Stati Uniti, Croazia e Germania,
Inghilterra ed Israele. Inoltre collabora, come artista freelance, per numerose compagnie di tutto il mondo: Germania, Ungheria, Messico, Canada, Usa e Svizzera. Oltre all’attività di coreografo Mauro Astolfi è costantemente impegnato come guest teacher nei maggiori centri di danza di Tokyo, Parigi, Londra, New York, Zurigo, Stoccolma, Amsterdam, Los Angeles ,Tel Aviv oltre che in numerose strutture italiane.
Dal 2016 al 2018 e’ docente di tecnica contemporanea presso la scuola del Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. Dall’ottobre 2009 è inoltre Direttore Artistico del centro Internazionale per danzatori D.A.F. – Dance Arts Faculty.
BBOY SALO
Attivo nel Breaking dal 2001 Salo è stato tra i primi a rappresentare il Venezuela in prestigiose battle internazionali; con più di 20 anni di esperienza continua nell’ambito competitivo e come insegnante facendo dei workshops a livello mondiale, ospite e giudice in gare internazionali e nel 2014 si trasferisce in Italia per continuare la sua carriera artistica.
MARCO CAVALLORO
Marco Cavalloro è un coreografo e docente internazionale. Dal 1998 ha iniziato a insegnare nei più prestigiosi eventi urban dance in tutta Europa: Madrid, Barcellona, Chiasso, Saint Tropez, Lisbona, Zurigo, Basilea, Amsterdam.

Luca La Falce in arte Frello, Bboy e Dj di Roma, si avvicina al mondo del Djing grazie alla sua passione per la danza e la cultura HipHop Vanta numerosi lavori per eventi nazionali e internazionali.
Nel 2019 è stato il DJ ufficiale delle danze street (HipHop, BreakDance, Popping e Electric Boogie, Mixed Style) per i Campionati Italiani e Assoluti FIDS, e per IDO European Championship. Attualmente membro della crew romana "LOTTABOYZ", sarà pronto a farvi gasare sul dancefloor.

An opportunity for dancers and their visions to meet up, a space of contamination between different languages, with the common desire to share and an intrinsic wish to educate in listening, thinking and exchange. As in a real CYPHER, contemporary dancers, urban dancers and breakers will compete individually and in pairs, bringing themselves into the battle. The “I together with THE OTHER” will be at the centre, without limits or boundaries, without prejudices or barriers. Space becomes place and architecture becomes home. The Brancaccino OpenAir - Chapiteau of the Brancaccio gardens will be the perfect setting to unleash their experimentation.
Agreement Cruisin' - Futuro Festival - Brancaccio Theatre
The world of music and dance is enriched by an important collaboration agreement between Cruisin' Arts, Futuro Festival and Brancaccio Theatre in Rome.
The company (which has been present in the world of music and dance events for 40 years), Futuro Festival and the prestigious Roman theatre join together to give space to emerging artists from the urban dance scene. Brancaccio Theatre, set in the heart of Rome, is one of the most important theatres in Italy, with a stage that has hosted some of the biggest names on the music and theatre scene. The partnership with Cruisin' Arts therefore represents a unique opportunity to offer the audience even more opportunities to appreciate the talent of the artists and the beauty of the performances. Not only the 1 vs 1 Experimental Battle of experimentations is on the programme, but also the performances of the artists and dance companies that achieved the most important results at Mc Hip Hop Contest, the European benchmark event of urban dance.
Being on Futuro Festival playbill represents a further recognition for the emerging artists ofthe urban scene and a unique opportunity to make their talent known to an even wider audience.
Indeed, the collaboration between Cruisin' Arts, Futuro Festival and Brancaccio Theatre was born with the aim of enhancing the new generations of artists and offering them a platform for broader and more eclectic visibility.
RULES
The Experimental Battle is open to male and female dancers over 16 (16 years of age on 28 May 2023) mastering any style in the field of urban dance or contemporary dance, who wish to share their language through the selection process explained below.
The music on which the dancers will perform will be freshly selected by the DJ, the dancers will not be allowed to have any information about it, and they will be able to range freely between electronic music, instrumental, house, hip hop, low-fi, funk and much more.
1.PRESELECTIONS
The first round of the Experimental Battle is a freestyle dance experience. Participants have 30 minutes to perform simultaneously and bring their own style to the stage, dancing to music chosen and played at the time by the DJ. The jury, made up of experts in the field, will move through the dancers to evaluate their performances and identify those who will be admitted to the next step. Participants should try to distinguish themselves by showing their movement, interpretative ability and stylistic uniqueness.
2.SELECTIONS
Dancers who pass the pre-selection round are admitted to the second step: the selection in "showcase" mode. Each dancer will have 60 seconds of improvisation to music always played by the DJ. The jury will assess various aspects such as originality, technique, stage presence and musicality. From phase 2, the finalists will be selected and admitted to phase 3.
3.BATTLE
The finalists will compete in a 1vs1 battle mode until the final pair is reached and a winner is elected.
JURY
An expert jury of 4 elements, from various artistic and professional backgrounds and with a very high technical depth, will ensure maximum inclusion and attention to each style brought to the stage.

LD COMPANY
LD company was born from the collaboration between 3 versatile artists, with very different artistic backgrounds but sharing an immense, unconditional passion for dance: Elisa Cannelli, Daniele Corsa, Michela Marchese. Since 2014, the company has been staging dance performances and musicals with completely original and unique choreographies, innovative direction, compelling plots, and employing new and important artistic collaborations from time to time.
The company organises two major fundraising events for AIRC every year, it is called upon for events and gala dinners, and performs in theatres all over Lazio region and much of Italy, often leaving for weekend tours. The ensemble, in addition to the three artists who form its core and are responsible for the choreography and staging, includes many other elements: professional dancers, performers, and the most talented students of Laltradanza school who, after auditions, are gradually included in the Company's productions.
SOUTH CLAN
The crew was born in Trani (BT) but welcomes dancers from different Apulian cities. The large age gap between the various members has never been an obstacle but a source of exchange and growth. Indeed, the crew immediately achieved excellent results in various national and international competitions. The choreographic concept has its roots in theatre: thanks to the use of urban dances (Hip-Hop, Vogueing, Locking), they create real shows. In recent years, they have also combined their art with scenographic dynamics from Breaking and Parkour.

FRITZ ZAMY
Dancer, choreographer, DJ and Hip Hop and House teacher. He teaches in various schools and he works as choreographer for groups of street dancers in southern Italy. He is the organiser of House Dance Europe, one of the most important House events in Europe. A special guest at the Paris Festival and on the TV programme Zelig, for some years now he has been proposing his House and Hip Hop New Style classes with a highly original technique contaminated by his Haitian origins. Thanks to his background and artistic flair, he is one of the pillars of the Mc Hip Hop Contest as the Mc of the Special One of the most prestigious contest in Italy, now in its twenty-seventh edition, held every year in Riccione.

Artistic director and choreographer Spellbound Contemporary Ballet. Astolfi, currently one of the most prolific and acclaimed choreographers on the international scene, founded Spellbound Dance Company - today Spellbound Contemporary Ballet - in 1994. Thanks to an extensive repertoire, Spellbound's works are increasingly in demand on the foreign market, and have so far been successfully exported to France, Serbia, Thailand, Spain, Russia, Austria, Belarus, Switzerland, the USA, Croatia and Germany, England and Israel. In addition, he works as a freelance artist for numerous companies worldwide: Germany, Hungary, Mexico, Canada, the USA and Switzerland. In addition to his work as a choreographer, Mauro Astolfi is constantly engaged as a guest teacher in the major dance centres of Tokyo, Paris, London, New York, Zurich, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, Tel Aviv as well as in numerous Italian venues. From 2016 to 2018 he taught contemporary technique at the school of the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome. Since October 2009 he has also been Artistic Director of the international centre for dancers D.A.F. - Dance Arts Faculty.

Active in Breaking since 2001 Salo was among the first to represent Venezuela in prestigious international battles; after over 20 years salo continues in the competitive field and as a teacher doing workshops worldwide, guest and judge in international competitions and in 2014 he moved to Italy to continue his artistic career.
MARCO CAVALLORO
Marco Cavalloro is an international choreographer and teacher. From 1998 he started teaching in the most prestigious urban dance conventions around Europe: Madrid, Barcelona, Chiasso, Saint Tropez, Lisbon, Zurich, Basilea, Amsterdam.

Luca La Falce aka Frello, Bboy and DJ from Rome, approached the world of Djing thanks to his passion for dance and Hip Hop culture. He boasts numerous jobs for national and international events. In 2019 he was the official DJ of street dances (Hip Hop, Break Dance, Popping and Electric Boogie, Mixed Style) for the Italian and Absolute FIDS Championships, and for IDO European Championship. Currently member of the Roman crew 'LOTTABOYZ', he will be ready to get you pumped up on the dancefloor.
